Three Years and Two Ideas Ago
I had a dream to get Indie Sessions up and running. I've spoken with many friends about this idea and opportunity, but had little interest in the way of help.
I've decided that I'm going to move forward with the idea myself and that the very first Indie Sessions content will be from none other than Andy and I - aka. "The Back Alley Project"
We recently finished our songwriting goal of coming up with thirty "draft" songs. We're now having friends and family help us to pick ten to record for our debut CD.
Indie Sessions first shows will chronicle the recording process and act as a template for the shows to come.
I'm very excited about what will come of this... I hope you'll stick around and participate.
IndieSessions: A New Home
I've finally managed to secure web space and hosting for the new site. I expect to start working on it by late June.
The new web host has full ColdFusion 7 capabilities... so watch for some great new features to come out.
Putting the backend systems together...
I've been working on getting the backend systems that will support IndieSessions.com up and working. I've also been debating whether we'll deliver 'live' webcast content or just do a Video On Demand option, seeing as the latter is much less of an initial investment.
I have a couple artists lined up as possible first session shows... so I'll keep you posted.

Welcome all. This is the new home for information regarding my latest venture - Indie Sessions (http://www.indiesessions.com)
Starting a business is easy. Making it successfull is the hardest things anyone can ever accomplish. I'm going to give this one my all ... just as I do with all the things I take on.
The business is called "Indie Sessions" and will be an internet-delivered monthly showcase for Independent / Unsigned bands. Each *episode* will be one hour in length and the broadcast will be delivered LIVE on the web each month. Archives of every broadcast will also be available for viewing from the website. Bands who are invited to perform in the showcase will have the opportunity to use the e-commerce part of indiesessions.com to sell their CD's during and immediately following the show. Each episode will have both audio and video recorded, so that if the band chooses, they can then offer a "Live at Indie Sessions" download from their own website to their fan base.
The site will be supported by financial investors and advertising, but mostly out of my pocket.
The goal of Indie Sessions is to give exposure to bands who really deserve it. Also, to give music lovers another option to experience new and upcoming performers. The format of each episode will live musical performance as well as interviews with the band members to find out what inspires them.
Indie Sessions is based out of Windsor, Ontario and is a "Then and Now Productions" (www.thenandnowproductions.com) company. "Then and Now Productions" is a internet development company that specializes in the Entertainment Industry and was founded in 2002.
